Sally, you are absolutely correct in that a Google search should be done for all relevant names, and I was remiss in not having done so before! I actually did do a search of books.google.com, and that is how I found the reference to Bardsley, which was a real eye-opener. Searches in both places is highly recommended for all researchers!
