Hi listers Trying to find details of my great grandfather's family. Samuel STAFFORD was born 17 March 1841 at Banktop, Mellor, Derby. He married Charlotte Louisa BEER on 2 August 1868 at Manchester Cathedral. His children were Charles (my great grandfather, born 1872, Prestwich, emigrated to New Zealand in 1908), Ellen (born cir 1876, Manchester), Ada (born cir 1879, Manchester), and Herbert (born cir 1882, Mnaachester. Hi John, 1891 census--possible sighting of Ellen age 15y a servant at 25 Fleet Street,Royton, (near Oldham) Head of household Ellen Lees, and 1901 age 25y a servant at " Newholme" Albert Road,Withington,Manchester, Head of household Herman Janus,shipping merchant. 1891 Samuel,Louisa, Charles,and Herbert are at 13 Lathbury Road ,Harpurhey,Manchester(this road still exists) with them is niece Annie Burgess age 9y b Cheadle, Cheshire, Ada is in Saddleworth on the Yorks/Lancs border with Uncle and Aunt James and Emma Burgess (and large family), James is station master of Grotton Railway Station, looks like Ada married Percy Ed Denyer, Christ Church, Harpurhey, 1902, and Herbert married Matilda Williams,Albert Memorial,Miles Platting,Manchester,1906.
