    3. Hi Derek It appears that the images can only be viewed at a Family History Centre at this time. Keep your fingers crossed that once the records are indexed we'll be able to view them on our home PCs. Another subscriber has emailed FamilySearch to ask about this and as soon as she receives an answer I'll let you know. 2. Julie Dalton
    3. Hi List I found a great source for research of the above records which dated from Year 1552 to the Year 1686, and from the Year 1731 to the Year 1846. Here is a link to the first volume. To read all 12 volumes just substitute the number as required courtleetrecords01mancuoft I view as a PDF document using Adobe Reader. One tip I would give particularly for the early volumes. The text is in old English and does not always pick up the surname you expect to see so use just a few letters of the surname. For example I am researching the name Travis, I just enter Tra in the Edit & Find box. You will get a fascinating insight into early Manchester life together with some wills, inventories, land requisites and criminal records. Hope this helps somone in their research regards Julie

I found a birth (on ancestry) for a Robert Lord (b. 1786), born Radcliffe, son of James & Ann.  I found a death for a Robert Lord, age 73 in 1865 in Little Lever, too. Good Luck, Karen

    3. I would not consider this Lomas store as Lomas Building. There are many buildings with names in the Manchester area. But this store on Oldham street has always been filled with shops. I have been in C&A many times and the other stores on Oldham street. I did see the burial records in Ardwick for the children and one mentioning Lomas Buildings. In the same area running from the east side of London road station was a Lomas Street in 1844 . Lomas also had a Lomas Court at its east end section. But this was 1844. We need more clues but it does make me think based on the church location that Lomas Buildings might have been in this Ardwick area.
