    2. I just found out that my elusive gg-grandfather, Edward Turner Bale, was married to Ann Gregory on 25 June 1829 at Colius Church, Manchester. Bale was recorded as a surgeon from Chorlton cum Hardy. Where is Colius Church, in Chorlton cum Hardy? Does his marriage record make note of Bales age or Birth Date? Any information on Bale would be very helpful. I have been chasing him for over twenty years. I think I'm closing in on him at long last. E. I know Stephen Croasdale had died by 1881 and the only death entry I can find is in 1869, two years before the 1871 census. Will keep looking!
