    3. 123 Crescent Road was the address of the North Manchester Workhouse. When workhouses were abolished (think 1930s) it changed its name to the Crumpsall Institute, treating the mentally ill. In 1939 it was renamed Park House eventually became Springfield Hospital in 1948. 3. Sally, It's Debby in Melbourne. Say another thanks for me. With each update I get more info on family, a good many of my Eyre descendants remained in Manchester (a brother & sister remained in Rutland, and some of their descendants settled Northampton, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire). I also now have access to Ancestry.com and have found all but one sibling of my Hare aka Eyre George and his wife Ann (Gibson). I think I have found Rebecca but am awaiting confirmation. No siblings were born in Manchester, two (George's son and a grandson named Daniel and Danniel respectively) came to Australia. Warm regards to all Debby
