Hello, If you haven't already done so, I suggest you subscribe to the Rootsweb list for Norfolk. It's a very busy list, so if you don't won't hundreds of separate e-mails coming in every day, it would probably be best to subscribe in digest mode. To do this, send an e-mail to NORFOLK-D-request@rootsweb.com with the single word subscribe in the subject line, and the same word in the message. Fortunately, Sharrington is a small village, so someone on the Norfolk list will probably be able to tell you what parish registers exist. (The time you are interested in is too early for civil registration and censuses, of course). You could also try the Genuki website (it stands for "Genealogy UK and Ireland", or something like that). Follow the instructions to get to the page for Norfolk, and you may find some help there. The url is http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/ Another idea would be to submit the surname BURLINGHAM to the Norfolk surnames list, at: http://freespace.virgin.net/isabel.easter/Norfolk/Surnames.htm Well, I hope that is of some help to you. Regards, and best wishes in your research.
