Hello everyone, I have recently joined this list and if I may have a moment of your time, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Linda Edwards and since 1989 I have been helping my husband, Stephen, to locate information on his deceased parents, Sidney EDWARDS [who went by the name of Tony LAUGHTON] and Alma Victoria EDWARDS [nee COX, but went by the given name of Vicky]. It's a bit of a long winded story as to why he didn't know his parents, but the "shortened" version of this that Vicky passed away when my Stephen was only 4 years of age and because of this, Tony never spoke of her and her family, and, we surmised because of his own circumstances growing up, Tony did not like to speak much of his own life. Consequently, Stephen knew nothing about his family. [By the time Stephen and I met, Tony had been passed away for 2 years.] What information we have been able to gather has been only through Governmental records. It has been my wish from day, one that one day Stephen will be able to make contact with a cousin or a friend/neighbour who remembered his parents. It seems that with each new document obtained, 100 new questions arise. Listed below are the names and places that I have been able to find to find documentation on. For Vicky's parents, I do have a series of addresses that they lived at over the years. If any of this sounds familiar, I would like to hear from you.
