May I re-post my lost connection? George GREENWOOD was born March 24 1881, the elder twin brother of my maternal grandfather. (Henry Thomas Greenwood). Nothing is known about George subsequent to a photograph of the two brothers in Army uniform (circa 1914-16). Grandfather was reported "MIA" on the Somme, and is in the War Graves Comm. data base. Uncle George is not in that database and, presumably, survived until 1918. The two boys were shown as living in "Finsbury" on their birth certificates. At the time of his enlistment Grandpa lived on Westmoreland Street in either Shoreditch or Hoxton, depending on who one defines the area. The street did not survive the blitz of WW2, and was subsequently redeveloped in a truncated shape, and renamed.
