Hi Merv, You can apply for Bryan Rossiter's death certificate with the reference numbers you have. This will give you the place of death, cause, and who witnessed the event etc. It won't give you any parental details, however, and you'll need to concentrate on Lancashire for that, as he states he was born in Liverpool in the 1851 census. Sadly, with regards to Bellingham, Northumberland is a county in its own right and doesn't have the same fantastic free resources that Lancashire benefits from. It MIGHT point to Richard being the father, but you should be aware that it may also be a brother, or even uncle. The best free resource for Lancashire parish records is the Online Parish Clerk website: http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/ It is worth keeping an eye out for the updates that are sent round the mailing lists, which will tell you of the databases that are added for the county.
