My research on this site, 8 or 9 years ago, was very productive, up to 1885. And back to the 16th C. I ordered films from Germany and Hungary, and now that can be done online and delivered to the Clayton Geneaology Library here in Houston I recently went back to the LDS site, and it's totally revamped. There are entries from Germany into the 20th century. Liz, Thanks for your reply. I have just been on Family Search looking at Germany, Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898. Unfortunately nothing there for the person I am looking for: Dietrich Schroder, born Hanover, 1831, son of Frederick Schroder. I now need to find if any records held in Hanover can be viewed on-line, and in English.
