Hi Jackie, Ancestry.com will be more helpful to you than findmypast with London entries in particular. If you subscribe to them, you will be able to see the actual baptismal registers. And marriage certificates if you can trace the family further. For example, this is the summary they hold: Name: William Alfred Kettle Record Type: Baptism Estimated Birth Date: abt 1887 Baptism Date: 31 Jul 1887 Father's Name: Alfred Kettle Mother's Name: Annie Kettle Parish or Poor Law Union: Kensington St Philip Borough: Kensington and Chelsea Register Type: Parish Registers Regards, Sally ---------------------------------------- > Hi all, I found these entires on Findmypast however my question is > before I obtain a subscription is, am I actually going to see the > handwritten transcripts with details of parents etc or am I only going > to get the > index pages of which I have already seen and then do I need to order all > the certificates?????????????? If sks has a subscription and could look > up one of the births I would appreciate, if all details or the actual > transcript is available I will join.
