Hi Pat Can't help with your query I'm afraid, but you were unsure where Fairy Street was. My husband lived very close to there as a child. It ran steeply down from the junction of St George's Hill and Northumberland Terrace to Netherfield Road North. They were terraced houses which were demolished in the slum clearances of the 1960s.
