Hello all A few months ago a number of Internet Service Providers changed the way they process incoming email and rejected any messages coming from mailing lists with the subscribers's email address in the "From" field. The change was made by the ISPs in order to reduce spam by those faking the "From" field. Unfortunately, this change caused a number of subscribers to be unsubscribed from RootsWeb lists since their ISPs were rejecting list mail. To ensure RootsWeb mail gets delivered to all subscribers, there's been a change in the way the "From" field displays in RootsWeb messages. The change means that when you send mail to the list, the "From" field will display the name you've set up in your own email program followed by "via" and then the list's email address. This change may also affect how you reply to the list. To avoid problems, when replying to list messages be sure to select "Reply All" and then double-check that the list's address appears in the "To" field. Our apologies for informing you after the fact, but list administrators were not notified in advance of this change so we were unable give subscribers a heads-up. Best wishes, Carol and Lynne Liverpool Joint List Administrators Eng-Liverpool-admin@rootsweb.com
