My O'Neill ancestors spent some time in Liverpool but I have only been able to find limited information. The 1881 UK Census shows Annie O'Neill (wife of mariner Owen) living at 50 Howe Street with children Henry, Annie, Kate and Joseph. Owen and Annie (nee Farrell) were married in Massachusetts (USA) where Henry was born. According to the 1881 census, Annie was born in New York around 1878 (I have yet to find any record of her birth). The census shows Kate (Catherine Marie) and Joseph Henry being born around June 1880 (have not been able to locate any birth records). Another researcher has their birthday as August 23, 1880 and suggests that they may have been baptized at the Church of St. James Bootle. I contacted the Church of St. James and was told that their older records reside at the Crosby Library. I tried emailing the library but the email addresses on different websites are not valid. Any suggestions on how I can contact the library or otherwise access birth or baptism records for twins Catherine and Joseph? Other information: Owen was born in Birkenhead around 1850 to Henry & Margaret O'Neill and the 1861 and 1871 census has them living in Bootle cum Linacre. My thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me. Bill Mayrose Massachusetts, USA
