Not much help to you Caroline but I have happy memories have enjoying a drink or two in the Clock in London Rd in the 50,s ,it was a Youngers pub in those days ,I can still taste Youngers Final Selection still,this pub was also famous for the oysters and brown bread and butter served . I realise you are on the other side of the world, and I very rarely get to Liverpool Record Office these days (once in the past ten years, I think!) but I believe they will do research on your behalf for a fee.
