>From Bolton & District FHS: The Bolton branch of the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society (MLFHS) (http://www.mlfhs.org.uk/Bolton/) will hold its next meeting Wednesday July 2nd at 7.30pm. Peter Watson, the speaker who was originally booked for next week's meeting, is unwell and currently in hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery and all the best. We are lucky enough to have Tony Foster, local historian of Lancs FH&HS and Lancs BMD, prepared to step in for us at short notice. He is going to tell us about his experiences of researching a War Memorial, and recount some of the stories he has found. This is of course quite appropriate at the moment and we are very grateful that he can manage this. The meeting will be at the usual venue of Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane, Farnworth, BL3 2JB starting at 7.30pm with refreshments available at the bar. All welcome. There is a nominal charge for non MLFHS members. A Help Desk will be available afterwards. Please note there is now a genealogy magazine recycle programme, so please bring your old unwanted magazines to be passed to or exchanged with others. Nothing will be wasted.
