I am trying to find out more about my brother in law's family. His grandfather was Christopher Christopherson, a Norwegian sailor who married and settled in Liverpool. On census records and in various shipping lists he states he is from Bergen and born 1855. A researcher is trying to help us in Norway, but unfortunately the name is very common over there, a bit like Smith here. Does anyone else connect into this family?
