Sandra I lived close to the TA Barracks in Aigburth Road in the late 1960's / early 1970's Every Sunday morning a lone piper played / practiced on the parade ground at the rear of the building. He walked backwards and forwards all the time. My Dad used to say he did that because a moving target is harder to hit! We assumed he was attached to the TA in some way. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandra in Liverpool via" <eng-liverpool@rootsweb.com> To: <ENG-LIVERPOOL@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 31, 2014 11:38 AM Subject: [ENG-LIV] 1950's memory > > Dear Listers, As A child living in the area of Aigburth between Aigburth > Road and North Sudley Road - 1950's -we regularly had a lone Scottish > Piper who walked (at least) along N.Sudley Road.
