Hi John First thing I would do at home was go on Hugh Wallis site find which parish that your ancestor is in >I have ancestors who married in Liverpool - probably in West Derby > parish - about 1802. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/ click on England then Lancashire there are three select the one you need( I would search everyone) then put in your family surname (it helps if its rare one ) If one comes up it directs you to the LDS site and you can either order a film in at your local LDS Library$7.50 Canadian or send to Salt Lake City for a copy of the register. $2.00 Canadian for copy. so if you have a lot in same area call the film in if not send for document. Good luck, Mary from Surrey BC Canada > How would I research this? Do I have to visit the Liverpool Records > Office and search parish by parish? > > I do live several undred miles away from the city of my birth, i.e. > Liverpool. > > John > ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ > > Admin Message - List guidelines: > http://freespace.virgin.net/genealogical.collections/AdminMessage.htm > > The list admin can be contacted at > Eng-Liverpool-admin@rootsweb.com > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > ENG-LIVERPOOL-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
