Need some help, My Elizabeth shows on the 1891 census as a 9 year old. Then she falls off the map altogether, cannot find any record of her at all, she does not show on any futer census. Elizabeth was one of 9 Children born to John Brannan and Winifred (McGreavey) Brannan 14 April 1881, Hornby Street, Liverpool.I can account for 8 of those children, 8 living and one dead, no problem. So what became of Elizabeth? Then along comes the 1911 census and I look up John and Winifred once more. It is then I noticed colums 7-8-9. No.of children born alive 9, still living 7, number of children who died 2 and then I knew, Elizabeth died, I'm assuming between 1891 and 1901. Once I knew this I searched High and Low but cannot find a death registration for her. I used every form of spelling variation with out any luck.If she died in a sanitarium or some other institution shouldn't the death have been registered with GRO?? I'm open to all suggestions. Jim Brennan, Elizabeth's nephew
Did you look for a marriage record for her? she could still have died but married first..
