    3. Ah, well that's different! The 29th Foot was (in 1861) "The 29th Worcestershire) Regiment of Foot", based in England 1859 to 1863 when it moved to Ireland. Merged with "36th (Herefordshire) Regiment of Foot" in 1881 to become "The Worcestershire Regiment" Don't know much about 12th Lancers other than it was 12th Dragoons (subsequently "12th Prince of Wales's Regiment of Light Dragoons" from 1768), but I can't help with any other info - probably lots available through Mr Google!
