Hello all I'm new to the list but am hoping someone can assist with my research into my grandmother's history. I have been to Liverpool Records Office furing a brief visit to the Pool last Oct, but was still unable to locate any record of her birth. Her name was Annie Boyce, born 1876, married 1899 to John Lewis. The marriage certificate gives her father's name as HUGH BOYCE (deceased). I know from her that her father was born in Ireland, but there was never any mention of her mother. I have copy of her marriage certificate, and have tracked down some WW1 records that show the famiy living in several different addresses but I can't find census records of the family, and no trace of her birth records, although I believe she was born in Liverpool. Annie is buried in Yew Tree Cemetery (died 1962). Her husband John is reported to have committed suicide (by hanging) in or around 1932, but I can find no record of this either. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can go from here to trace Annie's birth (the family was R.C., the last address I remember her living was in Field Street. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Marion
