    1. [ENG-LIV] The GORDONS--(East) Liverpool to Newfoundland ca 1750
    2. I want to thank all of those who responded to my above inquiry. All of the responses are helpful and appreciated. Does anyone know where I would look for passenger lists for those sailing from Liverpool, England to Newfoundland in about 1750? Would ships sail directly from Liverpool to Newfoundland? Thanks again for any help. Ron White Denver, Colo US **************Can love help you live longer? Find out now. 3. Ron Again, a google search for "newfoundland shipping 1750" will provide you with ample information on the trade and immigration [especially Irish] from 1750 era. St Johns, Newfoundland has a very extensive collection of shipping records at their Maritime Museum.. Terry Heath Cheltenham UK

    3. G'day Ron, The Maritime History Archive, at Memorial University, St John's, Newfoundland (not to be confused with St John, New Brunswick) has one of the largest collections of maritime records, particularly for the Atlantic, so they would be an obvious place to make enquiries. http://www.mun.ca/mha/ (By the way, if you get the chance go to Newfoundland! The Newfies are a great bunch, and I had a ball when I was there. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary pride themselves on being the only police force in North America not to carry side arms.)
