Hi List I was wondering if someone could help me out. My ancestors William Robinson JACKSON and Maria YOUNG married Apr 1844 at the Church of St James, Parish of Walton on the Hill, Lancaster, Registration District West Derby. They were both originally from Cumberland. THis information is taken from their marriage certificate of which I have a copy. I have been trying to find records of their children's births or baptisms - but am a little confused as to where the St James Church is? GENUKI does not have a St James in the parish of Walton on the Hill and Lancashire on Line states that St James did not have a parish assigned to it until 1844 - so am I looking at the right church?? William JACKSON was a Mariner/Merchant and I cannot find him on the 1851 census - but his wife Maria and two children - William Robinson Jr (b c 1847) and Mary (b c1849) are listed as living in No 2 Court @ Upper Harrington St, Toxteth Park as a Mariners Wife. In mid 1853 they had another son James before packing up to move to Australia. Maria's mother, Maria YOUNG Sr was living with them in 1851 and I believe she may have died in Dec 1851 (according to FreeBMD ) but I have not confirmed this. Is there a website or a much easier (and dare I say cheaper!) way to get any information regarding the births of the children or the death of the mother Maria YOUNG (b c 1784 in Ireland mn DONALDSON) and married James YOUNG (b c 1872 Scotland) I would welcome any information kind regards Virginia Mt Isa Qld, Australia _________________________________________________________________ Take a peek at other people's pay and perks Check out The Great Australian Pay Check http://clk.atdmt.com/NMN/go/157639755/direct/01/
