    3. Dear List, I just obtained a copy - very legible! - of my ggg grandfather's will dated Jan. 1824. He died in 1827. it is a trust under will and states that his son William should receive 20 pounds and the rest of his estate be divided into two equal parts after debts, etc.. and given to his other two children, etc... My question; the estate was valued at 800 pounds- why 20 pounds to one son? Were annual accountings for trusts under will required then as they are today ( in Massachusetts, anyway) What would the value of such an estate be in today's terms? Thanks, Carolyn
