    3. Hi - and thanks to all who answered my adoption query. My grandfather was abandoned as an infant and adopted by the family (no relation) who took him in at 2 1/2 months. I feel that this was his family and this environment in which he was raised influenced his life and ultimately, mine. For this reason I have chosen to follow the adopted family tree. From court records I have the name of his mother and the circumstances of his abandonment. Not a pretty story. What would a certified researcher do in this case? Thanks, Carolyn

    3. Hi, couldn`t help reading your adoption query! I have a friend aged 62 yrs who was adopted at the age of three weeks of age! His Mother was not allowed by her family to keep him...He was adopted by "FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY" and his birth mother was sent to America to live with her sister, where she married and had three more children.. we found out where his birth mother lived and wrote to her, but had no answer! The boy who was adopted knew who his birth family were and was in touch with his mother`s Brother, but the brother or any on the family refused to tell him about his real father, who we know was at one time married to his mother`s sister!!! But the adopted son, cannot find out from the courts anything at all and he is desperate to know for sure who is father was!! Any ideas at all?.. Would love to hear what people have to say about his case?...
