    3. Hello List, As an old/new member ( I used to subscribe a few years ago, and recently picked up my research bug and am on the trail again.) I have a question that I would like to ask you, is it possible that there might be "church" or "local city charity" organizations that have lists from the early 1900's that would list families who needed help? Also would these lists be available to the public? My reason for asking is that my Gt Grandparents John LANGFORD and Mary Jane BURNS (they were never married) and their two children James Langford b.1898 and Maryjane Langford b.1899 and Susannah Langford b.1902, cannot be found on the 1911 census, also, going back to the 1901 census, John and Mary Jane and 2 oldest children cannot be found on the 1901 census either. I have found through family stories etc, that they did not have much, if this is so, I would have found them living in the workhouse, which they were'nt, it is quite a mystery. Has anyone on this list ever had a similar situation, and if so how did you handle it? Sorry to make my first letter to the list a puzzler, but I thought someone might have an idea of how to tackle this puzzle, any advice would be helpful. Thanks for reading such a long and wordy letter Sue Button Ont. Canada
