    1. [ENG-LIV] Mary YEARDSLEY - born c 1801

    3. Carolyn, I now see the Mary you are talking about in 1851. Because you didn't mention where she was in 1851 in your original message I latched onto another person, who was born Bebington, The only problem remaining though, is if in 1851 she says born Liverpool, then why on the 1841 census does she say she was not born in county? I am assuming that it is her (aged 40) living with husband John IVESTER (35, Sailmaker) and 4 children, plus an Esther IVESTER (72) who could be John's mother I suppose. I only point this out so that you don't limit your searches to just Lancashire if, in fact, it turns out that the 1841 census is more accurate about her birthplace than the 1851 appears to be. Duncan, Dundee

    3. First, You are right about Mary being the wife of John Ivester, aka isbister aka Isbester.. I did look at the Cheshire records and did find a Mary Yeardsley born in 1802 - also a marriage record for her to a John Price.. different John! Incidentally, I found that her son George, my gg grand father, did marry a Cheshire girl on the Bedington records site! (His second wife after my gggrandmother died) I have narrowed my search to Liverpool and you have shown me that it pays to to look further. Thanks for your help. i wish I could find her parents though! Carolyn At 03:39 PM 9/10/2009, you wrote: >Carolyn, > > I now see the Mary you are talking about in 1851.
