    3. Hi Donna, Was he the son of Patrick and Honora Higgins who lived on that Street. Patrick was a Chelsea pensioner, born Ireland and in some census blind. They ran a Boarding House. I can tell you where they lived in each census if you think they are yours. The Miles I am looking for was actually the son of a John Colgan and Patrick I guess was his step father. Miles was a merchant seaman from 1851 on, and married Liverpool 1869 to Annie White. Anxious to hear from you, Joan Ottawa ----- Original Message ----- From: "DKGC" <donna080@sympatico.ca> To: <eng-liverpool@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 27, 2009 20:40 Subject: Re: [ENG-LIV] 1841 for Patrick and Miles Higgins > Hi Joan: > > My gg grandfather Martin HIGGINS and his wife Bridget were on North St in > Liverpool. 3. Hi Joan: In 1951 my gg grandfather Martin and wife Bridget (Greene) lived on 8 Court, North Street, Liverpool ages given were 30 for Martin and 29 for Bridget. They appear to have been related to Rose Callagan since Rose Callagan was living with them in 1851. In 1961, Martin and wife Bridget along with their family John, Patrick age 7, Mary, Elizabeth and Martin Thomas lived at 1h 29 Truman in Liverpool. Martin was 32 and Bridget 32 both born in Ireland. Children baptized at St Mary's, Highfield. By 1881 Patrick is in Sheffield and he married Annie Keeton in 1877 so I think he was in Sheffield by the 1871 census. John Higgins stayed in Liverpool and I believe raised his family there.
