Hello Listers I'm looking for my Grandmothers family. Her name was Lilly Nelson. We are unsure whether she spelt it Lilly, Lily, or Lillie. She was born either the 19th or 22nd of September 1916 and married Thomas Eric Ashton in 1936. They had 3 children Joyce, Maureen and Phillip. I am interested to find out if Lilly had any brothers and sisters and what her parents names were. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Ruth
Hi Ruth The birth of Lillie NELSON was registered at West Derby Dec quarter of 1916 volume 8b page 1036 mother's maiden name SWINNERTON other NELSON/SWINNERTON births Lilian N registered June 1912 Liverpool Thomas F June 1915 West Derby, Adelaide Dec 1916 West D and John S S in Sept 1919 also West D. Mother's maiden name only listed from mid 1911 so a look at the 1911 census will probably give more siblings. From the marriage index, James NELSON married Harriet Louisa SWINNERTON registered 1900 and in 1901 census James 24 occ butcher and wife Harriet L 23 are living in Meleden? Rd West Derby with 11 month old Stanley S.
