Hi Kathy, Sorry to be a nuisance but can you help please? As a pensioner on a limited budget I would love to buy Family Tree Maker 2010 Platinum from Tesco at the price mentioned but neither my local store, Tesco Direct nor the internet seem to stock this item. I contacted Tesco who say they cannot find this item and asking for more details to narrow the search. Any help would be appreciated. Family Tree Maker 2010 Platinum has been released recently and can be purchased on Amazon and other sites for about £30. However now Tesco points can be used to purchase software and this software package is available on their site for £15 worth of rewards. You exchange your points for a token and the token can then be exchanged for the software. Included with the software is 6 months free subscription to Ancestry.co.uk. so there is also a saving there if you thought about purchasing a subscription. I think the price of a subscription to Ancestry is about £80 per year. I am aware that free tree software can be downloaded from Familysearch and I am not trying to promote FTM software nor am I connected to any of these sites or Tesco, but I thought that the savings were worth mentioning as some people might 'spend' £15 of reward points off the price of their groceries without being aware of the possible savings they could make. More info about the software can be found on Amazon. Hope this helps someone. HI Cherie, Sorry, I cannot help you further than explaining that this deal is ONLY available if you shop in Tesco and save the 'Clubcard Reward Points'. In exchange for these points Tesco send money off vouchers which can be used to save money on your shopping OR spent on 'deals' such as entertainment, holidays, and software. If you have saved any points it is more economical to use your points to purchase the software than using the points to save money on your shopping. See their website http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/ Kathy -------------------------------------------------- From: "cherie everet" <cherie.everett@btinternet.com> Sent: Thursday, November 19, 2009 8:08 AM To: <eng-liverpool@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [ENG-LIV] Genealogy Software and Ancestry - possible savings > Hi Kathy, > Sorry to be a nuisance but can you help please?
