Hi Judy I have a Nathaniel Quinn. born in Ireland aprox 1809. he was a Sailor, but not a sea captain. how can I find more info.? Cathy.

Where did you get the term 'sailor'. If it is on an official document it implies the Navy. If he was in the merchant marine the term is mariner. The issue of Mariners records is complex but I am sure someone on the list can help.
