Can anyone help me identify Charles TURNER who was a constable according to Liverpool online directories: In 1827: Charles Turner listed as a police officer in St. Ann's District who was living at 15 Clare St. In 1829: Charles Turner, Marquis Street, St. John's District living on Marquis Street 1 Marquis Street Not listed in the 1853(?) directory and using Liverpool, Lancashire on 1841 census not found either. Are there some sort of records of constables, police officers during this time period? Would the LDS hold any of these? Thanks so much for any suggestions.
