    1. [ENG-LIV] Henry Evans
    2. John Lloyd
    3. This may be akin to the proverbial needle in a haystack but I am looking for a Henry Evans, a blacksmith, or blacksmith's striker, or worker in the metal trades. I would be most grateful if a list-member could look for him in the 1841 and 1851 Censuses. I guess that he was born in about 1830, possibly in Liverpool. My thanks! John

    3. Hi John, Just to clarify, do you mean he was born abt 1830 in Liverpool, or just that he would be living in Liverpool. A straightforward search of the 1851 census has 24 Henry Evans with Liverpool as the keyword. The three closest to the 1830 year have one born 1825 and his occupation looks like (Watch?) Finisher, one born in 1827 who is a Stone Mason and one born in 1834 is a Grocer's Apprentice. Any middle initials? Any sightings after 1851 that may give us more clues?
