Can anyone help with locating the marriage of John James Blundell to Mary Ann Heffron in the September quarter of 1924. Thank You Hilary.
It would take an Act of Parliament as the 100 year rule was in the legislation that authorised up the 1921 census. The 100 year rule was retrospectively imposed on earlier censuses without legislative sanction which is why the 1911 census was released early when a FOI request was lodged with the Information Commissioner (is that his title?) by Guy Etchells. And it'll be the 1st of January 2022, not 2021 when the 1921 Census will be released. However, the 1939 National Register is being prepared for release in the near future. The NR was compiled for purposes of rationing, etc etc. David Armstrong Maylands, Western Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: David via To: eng-liverpool@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, August 06, 2014 2:53 AM Subject: [ENG-LIV] 1921 Census Has anybody heard any rumours, facts etc about the release of the 1921 census prior to 2021 ? Hello all A few months ago a number of Internet Service Providers changed the way they process incoming email and rejected any messages coming from mailing lists with the subscribers's email address in the "From" field. The change was made by the ISPs in order to reduce spam by those faking the "From" field. Unfortunately, this change caused a number of subscribers to be unsubscribed from RootsWeb lists since their ISPs were rejecting list mail. To ensure RootsWeb mail gets delivered to all subscribers, there's been a change in the way the "From" field displays in RootsWeb messages. The change means that when you send mail to the list, the "From" field will display the name you've set up in your own email program followed by "via" and then the list's email address. This change may also affect how you reply to the list. To avoid problems, when replying to list messages be sure to select "Reply All" and then double-check that the list's address appears in the "To" field. Our apologies for informing you after the fact, but list administrators were not notified in advance of this change so we were unable give subscribers a heads-up. Best wishes, Carol and Lynne Liverpool Joint List Administrators Eng-Liverpool-admin@rootsweb.com

Hi Everyone I'm wondering if someone might have any ideas on a little problem I have come across. My grandfather, John William PRESCOTT was born in Edge Lane, West Derby, June 1877. He left Liverpool about 1904-1906, supposedly to New York and was never seen by family again. I have found him as a Fireman on a ship returning to Southampton fron Singapore in 1909. I have further found his arrival at Sydney, NSW in 1916, and his army record when he joined the Australian Army at Townsville in 1917. The is on 3 or 4 Electoral rolls in Queensland and died at Rockhampton in 1936. Now, recently I have found another record that I think might be him, although the age is a bit off. There is a J. W. Prescott arriving at New Orleans on the S.S. Castano on 26 Oct 1904. He is a deserting seaman, 25 years old, British, English race. He is the only person listed on the sheet and a few lines down is written "All information obtainable". There is also a notation "Carded" which is encircled. I have googled Castano without luck but did find a Castanos. I'm wondering if anyone has run into one of these deserting seamen manifests before and has any idea how I might proceed. I have looked for his departure from England without luck, whether before 1904, before 1909 when he returned or after 1909 when he obviously left before showing up in Australia. Thanks for any ideas. Vern
Dear Listers, I am Looking for the Marriages of, Father: Lewis Price Roberts b ??? Mother: Daisy May Fitzpatrick b 5 June 1917, 43 Morland Street, Everton. Liverpool. Patricia Roberts b Sefton General Hospital, Sefton Park 10 March 1946 Residence 313 Grafton Street, Liverpool 8. Merseyside, UK. and Elizabeth Roberts b 28 April 1948 - 65 Mulgrave Street. Liverpool 8. Merseyside, UK. The above Girls are my direct Cousins, and I would like to know what happened to them. Their Mother (Daisy May Fitzpatrick b 5 June 1917) was my Fathers Twin Sister. I believe they may have been under age and their Father dead when their Mother Died. I have no records who may have taken them in. There Are links to Wales where their Father was from, Links to Yorkshire where my Mothers Parents Came from, County Down Ireland where my Fathers Family Came from, they Apparently Liked a Holiday in Scotland. Where there any Orphanages in the Liverpool 8 area (The 1960's) and is there any Online Information??? I Have Certificates, I know they never got Married to; Patricia> Roger Vincent Vain (Vainuaakas) in 4 March or Roger Shaw in May 1964. <<<<<<<<>>>>>>>> Elizabeth> Robert Griffith in 2 September 1967 or Joseph Brennan in 23 August 1969. I also have no Death notices for Any of the Above, it is very frustrating not to be able to go to My State library and look up all this Info.
