Does any lister remember a TommyRutter he Lived In Everton ,and was a good mate of my cousin Alan Maddocks he was for many years connected to the club scene He was still alive in 2005 John Maddocks New Zealand

I too tried, without success, to find Alice in the 1911 census, so I see your difficulty! Regarding a grave at Ypres, the only Robert Skelton has no grave, but is remembered on the Menin Gate memorial at Ypres. You can see his details on the Commonwealth War Graves website at http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/916966/SKELTON,%20ROBERT I hope this is the correct person - he was in the Northumberland Fusiliers.
