    3. Hi Kim All I know is it was James. John is away this weekend but I have emailed him and asked him if he has his parent's marriage certificate, hoping to get the names of his grandparents. I guess Lawrence's parents would have been married early 1900's. Clegg seems to be a common name in the area. I'll have to see if John has any more info. Thanks for your email. A rigger certainly would be part of a maritime operation also.     2. Hi Claire If Thomas was a Master Mariner, it's possible that the Registry of Seafarers at Cardiff will have a record of his Master's certificate. It may be worth contacting them.
