Last time I was doing research they had just moved from William Brown Street for major repairs to the building, and Im wondering if they are back there yet, as I want to look up some of the Death notices in the Liverpool Echo for the Month of March 1977, for my aunt Elizabeth Swann, nee Lunt. Thanks everyone.

He was bapt. 21 Dec 1829 at St. Peter, son of Charles Musker and Sarah (Smith). In 1958 he married Ellen Moseley, at St. James Toxteth Park Liverpool . I found another marriage to Maria 1860 to Maria Barrett and thought it the right one as John’s daughter Mary was born in 1862 but discarded this when I was given part of the 1861 census where they are incorrectly shown as John Masters age 30 and Ellen Masters 37 I do not have the address at time of census , John’s occupation or Ellen’s birthplace . The only baptism I found for an Ellen Moseley was 6 Jun 1824 in Measham Derbyshire . I have a death for an Ellen Musker age 52 in 1879. The age does not agree with the census. In 1881 John married Emma Boulton a widow (Nee Briggs), and I have them in 1881 living at 147 High Park St. Toxteth Park with Mary age 19. I've had deceased fathers NOT described as "deceased" on marriage certificates. If it says "deceased" he probably is. If it doesn't there is a reasonable chance that he is still alive, but he may not be. Angelika

    3. Hi Evonne, The only Thomas Bolling (sic) I can find with northern and occupational connections is: Name: Thomas Bolling Age: 66 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1785 Relation: Head Spouse's Name: Masha (I think it's supposed to be Martha) Bolling Gender: M (Male) Where born: Bramworth, Yorkshire, England Civil parish: Doncaster Ecclesiastical parish: Christchurch County/Island: Yorkshire Street Address: Seniors Yard Occupation: Labourer Thomas Bolling 66 Masha Bolling 53 John Bolling 8 I would caution against assuming that he isn't dead by 1875, as this is a notoriously unreliable area on certifications. It may also have to be borne in mind that Thomas could have also been made up for appearances sake on a marriage certificate. The lack of any significant Bolling(s) entries on the Civil Registration Index may also point to the surname not being spelled correctly... ie Bowling(s), Balling(s), Rolling(s) etc etc. Genealogy is fun, isn't it? :o) Regards, Sally

    3. Hi - thank you for your help - have got marriage cert - says:- Feb 1875 Maggie Bollings (age 23) - Father Thomas Bollings (Labourer) It does not say he is deceased so I presume he was still living in 1875? I do think is it Margaret E Bolling living in Manningham Bradford on the 1871 census as a boarder (born Liverpool) Can anyone help me further??? Current cost is £9.25. The information you need is: Maggie Bollings & Tom Wilson Registration District - Bradford Jan-Mar 1875 Vol 9b Page 295 The certificate should have her father's name and occupation on it , and will confirm her age, which may then help you track her down in earlier censuses.
