    3. Thank you David, I do have access to Ancestry, but have found nothing for Catherine on incoming shipping records. I now have marriage information from parish register, but as the marriage took place in an RC church, it doesn't give fathers occupation, I have his name and address so will see if I can track this in the censuses. The LDS has plenty of HEIC records on microfilm which can be ordered into your local LDS library for a nominal fee (to cover p&p charges). https://familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=topicdetails&subject=751445&subject_disp=India+-+Officials+and+employees&columns=*,0,0 David Armstrong Maylands, Western Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: MARC ARCHER To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2012 11:11 AM Subject: Re: [ENG-LIV] Born in India I went to the recommended web site, Fibis.org. But, I couldn't find what the date was of this list, unless maybe I joined the list at L15. So I still don't know if it is the Richard Howat I'm looking for. Would coach makers have made a lot of money? He later came to England and married Helen Clark in London in 1803, then purchased the estate of Mabie in Kirkcudbrightshire in Scotland, and became a wealthy esquire. How would he have done that? They didn't have assembly lines back then. Marc Archer Ludington, MI
