Happy New Year to the list I have a 'lost' ancestor from Grantham, Lincolnshire. I am looking for proof that Paul Uleyate b 1772 in Nottinghamshire, christened in Grantham, married Jane Wright in 1797 in Nottinghamshire, had two children, Jane b 1798 and Mary b 1800, both christened in Nottingham is the same Paul Uleyate found in Virginia USA in 1807.. I have found no other reference to Paul in Nottingham or Grantham. My Paul Uleyate showed up in Virginia USA in 1807 with no wife or children. My Paul married twice, first 1809 Mary 'Polly' Johnston, and second Mary 'Polly' Gilbert in 1821. He had three children with Polly Johnston and one with Polly Gilbert. I descend from wife # 2.
