Hello again Mike   The Elizabeth ROYCE who died in 1844 (5th Dec) in Bourne Reg District was aged 72, according to the burial record.  A Mark ROYCE died aged 55 in March 1819 (so he was born 1764!) at Deeping St James.  A Jemima ROYCE died November 1870 at Market Deeping, aged 69, and if she was unmarried, she was not baptized in Deeping; however, a Josiah ROYCE son of Mark and Elizabeth was baptized at Market Deeping in October 1807.   John ________________________________ From: Michael Wells <casofilia@xtra.co.nz> To: "eng-lincsgen-L@rootsweb.com" <eng-lincsgen-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, 5 January 2012, 20:52 Subject: [LIN] Elizabeth ROYCE Mkt Deeping Helo From NZ again   In 1841 Elizabeth ROYCE (65) is living in Mkt Deeping with who I assume is her daugter Jemima (35) both ages I also assume are rounded.  I think she probably died in the Dec Q 1844 (Bourn 14 198)   Is anyone able to confirm that Elizabeth was the wife of Mark ROYCE who was born in 1764 in Exton Rutland?  If so, did Mark die in Mkt Deeping before compulsory registration?   Is anyone able to add anything about any of these three people, please?

Hello John   Thank you, that helps, the family moved from Exton in Rutland to Market Deeping between 1802 and 1807 I think.   I am hoping that Jemima was unmarried!!! She did have an illegitimate daughter Mary Jane NUTT (ROYCE) in 1836.
