    3. I couldn't find it either, which is why I wondered if it might help to get the reference for the register in which it appears, in case the name has been mistranscribed or omitted. If you know the reference for the register, then you could try doing a search around the right date on a common forename (eg John) in that piece, and then scroll through and see if you find the event in that register. However, if you don't have a subscription this could prove expensive. I was under the impression that all registers from RG4 had been digitised at The Genealogist/BMDregisters, but maybe some have been missed.
