There is a marriage in Newark Notts in 1846 for Hannah Carter to George Rawson, they are to be found in the 1851 census at ref HO 107/2121 lodging with the family of William Taylor at Newcastle street in Tuxford in Nottinghamshire, George Rawson is a Railway Labourer born in abt 1813 in South Collingham in Notts and with them are two children Phoebe born 1848 in Collingham Lincolnshire? and John born 1850 in Bassingham Lincs. In 1861 George is still lodging there but there are no family with him although he is still married and he is listed as Ag Lab, so far I cannot find the family on 1861 census but there is a marriage for Phoebe in 1866 in East Retford Notts, to Joseph Todd and they appear together in 1871 and 1881, Phoebe had clearly died before 1891 as Joseph is listed by then as a widower living with his 15 year old son and 7 year old daughter and 80 year old father. James is on the census every time in 1851 he is a labourer in Newark HO 107 2136 in 1861 living in Sheffied Yorks with wife Mary Ann, sons William and James and daughter Leonayar. ref RG 9 3690 (not sure if it's a 6 or not)  1871 still in Sheffield Ref RG10 4687 with Mary Ann , son Wm H aged 16, James 12, dau Louesia 10, sons Albert 8 Walter 6 and Daniel 1 1881 ref RG11/4135 now living in Hasslingden in Rossingdale in Lancashire at 30 Alma Cottages, he now gives his occupation as Gas Stoker and living with him is his wife Mary A, sons Albert 18, Walter 16 and Daniel 11, Daughters Gloria 8 and Ellen 2 also listed is a lodger Louesia Winters aged 20 (presumably the other daughter now married and her daughter Florence aged 1, Louesia and her daughter like James's wife Mary A are all born in Tamworth in Staffordshire. 1891 now in Cloughfold, Rawtenstall in Lancashire (refRG12/3348) still occ a gas stoker living iwth wife Mary Ann at 18 Windle Street, with two daughters Ellen aged 12 and Edith aged 8 and as Mary Ann is by now 55 and would have been 47 at the time of Edith's birth I feel it is safe to surmise that Edith was their last child. 1901 back in Sheffield (ref RG13/4348) now just James and MaryAnn in Buckingham STreet court 18 House 1, their daughter Ellen is also listed but she is listed first, although James is still listed as head, none of them have occupations and Ellen may have been listed last by mistake and placed at the head of the page.  1911 widowed James is in the Infirmary wing of the poor house I cannot find a reference no for the page but he is in registration district Ecclesall Bierlow, sub district Ecclesall South, in Yorkshire West Riding.
