Not quite Anne, I come from Long Sutton, Long Sutton is the Market town, Sutton St Mary is the area outside of the town and mainly to do with the Lovely church, Lutton is some 5 miles to the north of Long Sutton, and Sutton St Nicholas is about the same distance to the South of Long Sutton. And, it is a very nice little quite Town, even if I say so myself. I was just going by what the Archives call the respective registers. Long Sutton and Sutton St Mary will get you the same registers, whilst Lutton will get you the Sutton St Nicholas parish registers. Sometimes they are referred to by one name, sometimes by another. Our indexes reflect this dual personality.
