Hello I am new to the list and am looking for the burial of Adam ELLIOTT/ELLET who supposedly died in 1802 in Kirton . I would be grateful if someone could possibly do a search for the burial as this is a bone of contention with some distant cousins who are in the USA who say that Adam came from Newcastleton in Northumberland where he was born in 1720 and his son John went to live in Norfolk and married in Caistor St Edmund near Norwich. This information was supposedly gleaned from one of the USA ancestors being stationed in Norfolk during WWII. Many thanks to those who can offer help with this query. Perhaps this will convince them that either the parish or the date is wrong. <G> The parish register for Kirton in Holland, burials 1802. http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=518915&iid=283785 The burials for 1802 continue on images 302 and 303. That register covers baptisms and burials 1685-1812, and marriages 1685 - 1754/1756. (Bit of confusion because the Archives say marriages to 1756, but there is a marriage-only register which says it begins in 1754.)
