Lots of us have had to use that route and spent time and money persueing our hobby (no one send it was free and no one said it was easy). you didn't give us much information to go on. Where did you find her parents were William and Rebecca? Dates? Area? Couldn't see marriage for Wm and Rebecca either but then we know GRO has missing marriages. Could be that William was married to another first and did not actually marry Rebecca. Have you picked them up on 1881 1891 census? Could save some 'leg work'and order cert to get correct info then work back from that. The birth certificate should give you Rebecca's maiden name.
