    3. Dear Jan There were a number of Sharp (Sharpe) families throughout Lincolnshire (Stamford/Baston/ Little Bytham/Castle Bytham)but I do believe that there are connections with other Sharpe families waiting to be found!. My branch appears to have been in the Castle Bytham area for generations! BTW with or without an "E". 3. Dear Margaret and Jan I was interested in your thread about the SHARP family in the Stamford etc. areas. There was a member of the SHARP family one year ahead of me at the Grammar School in Bourne in the late 60s/early 70s and my great aunt Dora LUESBY married William SHARP. If I remember great uncle Bill was owner or part owner of the Stamford Egg Company which he probably inherited from his father because in the 1911 Census William SHARP, middle name Traquair and aged 3, was living with his parents in The Austerby, Bourne - which is probably the house I remember from my youth. There was also another SHARP, if I recall correctly, who worked for a now-defunct company called Nursery Supplies in Bourne. I need to ask my mother to confirm this. I hope this is of some help to you. 3. Dear Margaret The earliest of SHARP(E)s I have so far are Robert SHARP born 1737 who married Mary HOLDEN at West Ashby 8 April 1760. They had a large family in West Ashby and it goes on from there. My direct line came from West Keal and later Spilsby. Connections could be way back, I know, but I haven't spent much time on family history lately; just kept up with some lists. Mine are really without an E but my grandfather's birth certificate has the E, incorrectly, on his name. The name has died out with my branch now due to more recent children all being girls, although the earlier large families consisted almost entirely of boys. 1. [LIN] Mavis Enderby Burial - Nat'l CARTWRIGHT
    2. Lynda Hirst
    3. Hi list I have the NBI 3rd Ed which notes a burial date of 23 Feb 1786 for Nath'l Cartwright - this has been transcribed/checked by the LHFS. I also located an LDS entry which states his burial date was 23 Mar 1786 so an obvious discrepancy exists. I have tried to look up the parish registers on Lincs To The Past website without any success - tricksy wee site! Is anyone able to point me in the direction of where I might be able to double check which of these dates is correct please? Cheers Lynda Christchurch NZ

    3. Hi Lynda. It appears that the Mavis Enderby registers haven't been uploaded onto the Lincs To The Past wesite yet. However, according to the Bolingbroke Deanery cd issued by LFHS, he was buried 23rd February 1786 age 69. Mick

    3. Lynda, like you I am unable to get any images for Mavis Enderby on Lincs to the Past. Both the registers and the BTs will have been checked for the Bap/Bur index which is where the NBI entry has been sourced. Family Search will be from the BTs only. Sometimes the BT does not agree with the register, but I would have thought that if there was a difference this would have been noted in the index, or at least in the "Extra" (more information available) column but there is no such indication.
