For information I have received the Birth Certificate and it indicates that Elizabeth was illegitimate being the daughter of Sarah Blackamoor.  No fathers name is given.    The 'G'  initial I now believe was a mis-transcription.  On the B/C the 'G' of  'Girl' from the sex column is partly in the name column.  Just shows that you have to be careful about these things.   Thanks for eveyones suggestions.   Frank J. Hi Frank Looking at the census it appears to me that Sarah BLACKAMOOR married a David GOSLING Marriages Dec 1866 Blackmoor Sarah Spilsby 7a 1177 GOSLING David Spilsby 7a 1177 They appear together in the later census This gives a Sarah born 1846 England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915 about Sarah Blackamon Name: Sarah Blackamon Date of registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1847 Registration district: Boston Inferred County: Lincolnshire Volume: 14 Page: 255 Let me know if you want the census pages Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) For information I have received the Birth Certificate and it indicates that Elizabeth was illegitimate being the daughter of Sarah Blackamoor.
