    3. Dear Peter, Fay, Linda and Margaret My SHARP(E)s tend to be confined to the Wolds area, at least since Robert SHARP, born 1737 who married Mary HOLDEN, born 1731 ?Spigster. They were married at West Ashby where they lived and had their family. The only child I have recorded is my direct ancestor, Henry SHARP but I expect there were others. In my line there are then alternate Roberts and Henrys until my grandfather, Herbert Allen SHARP (SHARPE on his birth certificate) was born at East Keal in 1874. He lived with my mother and I in Leicester, my father having died in WWII when I was 4 years old, so Grandpa was like a father to me. This SHARP family is on the IGI and only goes back to the first Robert SHARP above. Before that I have no idea where their ancestors lived and they could all connect with yours some way back. That's a good idea, Fay, keeping the unrelated SHARP/Es you find. It will be great when you match some of them up!
