    3. I checked the Caistor Workhouse Minutes Vol. 1 where in 1837 there is mention of a Sarah Towle aged 10 illegitimate daughter of John Quickfall of North Kelsey. Could this be her? 3. More info. Tried searching for Towle in the LQS docs and came across putative father Thomas Cox in 1830. The Caistor Workhouse ref mentions three children in the same entry, Sarah Towle 10, Martha Towle 7 (dau of John Cox) and Wm Towle 4 (son of James Lester). The mother in the Thomas Cox case is Elizabeth Towle. Some detective work needs to be done here. Have you tried the North Kelsey baptism records on Lincs to the Past? Must dash, off to Archives. 3. The baptism of Sarah daughter of Elizabeth Towle is here http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=63104 2&iid=374996 Maybe there is a mistake on the recognizance? It seems too much of a coincidence that John Quickfall should be the father of two illegitimate children in the same year, both mothers called Elizabeth, and the Caistor minutes show that Elizabeth Towle had two others with different fathers, presuming that these three children were siblings. I found the baptism of Martha fathered by Cox whilst looking through the N Kelsey register, in 1830 I think.
